8.05. An employee may be absent from work for 5 days by reason of the birth of his or her child, the adoption of a child or where there is termination of pregnancy in or after the twentieth week of pregnancy. The first 2 days of absence are remunerated.
This leave may be divided into days at the request of the employee. It may not be taken more than 15 days after the child arrives at the residence of his or her father or mother or after the termination of pregnancy.
The employee must advise his employer of his absence as soon as possible.
